Shorter University Online Payment Options
Attending college is an investment in yourself and your future, but paying for college doesn’t have to be a painful process. Shorter University makes it stress-free for students to pay for college by offering affordable, competitive tuition rates and providing easy-to-use payment options for students.
Pay Online
Students who wish to pay online may do so through SCHOLAR. Shorter University accepts MasterCard, VISA and Discover.
- Go to www.shorter.edu.
- Click on PAY MY BILL at the top left of the homepage.
- You will be prompted to log in to Scholar.
- Once logged in, click the “Payment Options” link.
- Select “Click here to make a payment.”
- Select the Online Student Payment option.
- Include what the payment is for in the Memo line.
Pay by Phone
Shorter University accepts payment by phone via credit card payments only. Contact the Business Office between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at (706) 233-7638 to pay by phone. You may also reach the Business Office by fax at (706) 233-7892.
Pay by Mail
You may pay your tuition by mail with check or money order made payable to Shorter University. Please be sure to include your student ID and what the payment is for (application fee, tuition, etc.) in the memo line.

Pay in Person
Students in the Rome, Georgia area may pay in person on campus. Visit the Business Office to pay in person. No appointment necessary.

Student Payment Responsibilities
Online students are responsible for paying their student account in full by the last day of drop/add for each 8-week online session. Shorter University accepts Visa, MasterCard and Discover transactions.
